Thomas A. Gruber

President / CEO

Born in Washington, D.C, Tom spent his early career working in the Mid-Atlantic area. His introduction to the Graphic arts industry began with the installation of printing equipment in a newly built high school he was attending. The equipment needed significant repairs, which were provided by Tom’s father, a formidable machinist. Hence began Tom’s fascination with the Graphic Arts.

A four year stint in the U.S. Navy followed, which included shipboard print plants. Tom volunteered to spend the final year of his service commitment in Vietnam.

Tom worked for a short period of time at the U.S. Government Printing Office. Print plant management became a passion. He attended Montgomery College for a period of time, but soon returned his full attention and enthusiasm to business management.  He was the General Manager for a very large web/sheet fed printer for nearly fifteen years.  He then held sales management positions for an upscale commercial printer and a highly regarded color separator.

Tom was then recruited by a consulting firm that worked exclusively in the Graphic Arts industry in the mid 80′s. He worked extensively with printing companies of all sizes. Most were experiencing a myriad of problems, which were generally sales, marketing, family ownership or manufacturing related. He spent seven years traveling all over the United States.

Tom has spent the majority of his career dealing with major business issues, which would include strategic planning, marketing strategies, business operations and customer formation and retention.

Most recently Tom purchased a company in Rochester, NY.  He is the owner of Evolution Impressions, Inc., a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.  Tom also founded Evolution Events Online, Inc., a company dedicated to event management, online ecommerce stores, online secure cashiering and web site development.
